I’ve seen sites that sell components to build a new log home, and they give an amount per square foot to judge the cost of the built home. Also, conventional new home builders will give this.
What should a person be paying for a used home in great condition per square foot?
Any suggestions?

Depends on the area. My in-laws built a house on the beach for over $1,000 per square foot in So Cal and my brother just built a house for $50 per square foot in North Carolina

Can’t answer the question. “Reasonable” price varies by area, community, state, neighborhood, zip code - you name it.
Do a search online for where you want to buy. Try going to http://www.zillow.com
Good luck.

This depends on the area.
What you need to do is get together about 10 comps and do it yourself.
For our new home - everything in it including all appliances it was $100/ sq ft.
Prices have fallen 30% around here since then…..

Depends on location, amenities, lot costs, labor costs.

this depends on the area.
Buy a house by the sq foot cost is like buying a car by the pound.
